This is one of the most simple fonts you will ever find. Every character is the same, a basic bullet. Why? It's a very easy method to implement a password screen during application development.
We were developing some applications in FoxPro for the Mac, and had a hard time figuring out how to map characters so that when you typed in your password, it would only show a star or bullet. Eventually, it came to us, don't map it! Make it a font where every character is a bullet, but the underlying text typed in will still work properly. Voila!
I have included bitmap, TrueType, and PostScript (Type 1) versions of the font in this package. For the use I described, the bitmap version should be plenty. However, I figured somebody might have a use for the other formats, so I included them. There are separate PC and Mac versions of this archive.
For PC users, install this font in the regular manner.
For Mac users, you can install this font in your system by the usual methods (Font/DA Mover for pre-System 7, dragging into the system folder for System 7). However, if you want to use the font in the password method I mentioned above, use ResEdit to install the font directly into your application. That way, you don't have to distribute the font along with your application, it's built in!
This font is free for non-commercial users, and you may freely distribute it to anyone, including putting it on computer bulletin boards and online services. If you do, however, you must include this entire archive including this READ ME file.
For commercial users, you MUST pay a one-time shareware fee of $20 US ($25 Canadian) if you include this font in any product you ship. I've encrypted my name in the font specs, so you can't hide it.
